Presentation

These cloths are made of a welded mesh of steel rods. The upper surface, in contact with the product to be screened, is always installed parallel to the conveying direction of the materials.

They are generally intended for screening low-abrasive materials, due to the low carbon content and little hardening of the steels used.

The steel grades and form of the rods may vary depending on the use. The permeability (percentage of void) of these cloths is greater than those obtained with perforated sheets or synthetic cloths. Rectangular meshes of all sizes are also available on request.

It is highly recommended to make these cloths to fit the receiving frame in order to optimise the passing surface and protect the rails and supports.

GIRON has a wide range of meshes (W) to match the needs of its customers.

Standard range : (for any another dimension, please contact us)

  • Meshes:                          5 mm ≤ W ≤ 150 mm
  • Wire diameter:                                  3 mm ≤ Ø ≤ 25 mm
  • Max size :        1500 mm x 3000 mm

The SCALDUR cloth

The SCALDUR cloth, made from special manganese steels, is designed to receive large particle sizes such as in scalping.

Abrasion resistant, it can also withstand high loads and stands out from other screening solutions through its significantly higher throughput capacity than that obtained with perforated sheets or synthetic cloths.

These cloths are made of cylindrical bars with a diameter of 16 mm or 20 mm welded to rectangular 25×12 profiles. The tubes are always installed on the upper side and in the conveying direction of the material.

SCALDUR cloth is systematically designed according to the screen supports and mesh for maximum screening efficiency. In parallel, it helps relieve crushers due to less recycling, resulting in reduced wear and energy saving.
