SIM 2021: the Mineral Industry Show to forge links
Mark your calendars! The next SIM 2021 will take place from October 20 to 22, 2021 in Lille. This trade show is a key event for all players in the extractive industries sector. Once again, Giron will be taking part in this major event!

The 70th edition of the Société de l'Industrie Minérale exhibition will be held at the Grand Palais de Lille in the Hauts-de-France region, one of France's leading quarrying venues. This is one of France's most important trade shows for the extractive industries. Over an area of 10,000 m2, you'll find all the know-how and equipment available to professionals in the sector. The SIM show is a convivial space that facilitates exchanges between professionals and enables you to discover innovations in the mineral industry sector. 340 suppliers will be present at the show, and two new hubs will also be set up: the mining hub and the concrete hub.

2021 edition: challenges and events
The SIM show is also an opportunity to develop your network and discover innovations in the sector among the various exhibitors. On-site, you can take part in the various conferences and technical visits organized over the 3 days.
The mineral industry faced a major crisis in 2020, notably linked to the Covid 19 epidemic. Against this backdrop, the organizers decided to devote the show's inaugural session to: "Post-crisis and France's supply of materials". This session will take place on Wednesday, October 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Workshops, tours and conferences at SIM 2021 will cover the activities and challenges of the mineral and extractive industries. For example, you can take part in meetings on the following topics:

- "Resilience of the mineral industry after the health crisis";
