Giron, the flagship of the mineral industry, is today celebrating a century of expertise and excellence in the screening. To mark the occasion, a number of convivial events and new product presentations were organized. An overview of our news of the moment.

Installation of photovoltaic panels

One of the main projects for 2024 is theinstallation of photovoltaic panels to produce our own electricity. The aim is to produce 500 kWp for our own consumption. The structural reinforcement of the building has already been completed. Cabling and preparations for the solar panels have also been completed. The photovoltaic panels will be installed in December, with commissioning scheduled for the end of the year. As of January 2025, Giron will thus be able to benefit normally from the production of energy for own consumption. The company also plans to resell the surplus once self-consumption has been achieved.

Redesigning our website for Giron's 100th anniversary

Giron shares a century of history in the industrial screening sector with its customers. To celebrate the company's 100th anniversary, our website has been given an aesthetically pleasing makeover. A more intuitive, contemporary designGiron's new website, a true reflection of the company's identity, now guides visitors not only through the different solutions offered by the company, but also through the foundation of its values. A true showcase, this new website contains everything that Giron stands for today: a family business has become a recognized expert in its field.

Our participation at SIM 2024

Giron took part in the 73rd SIM Convention and Exhibitiona not-to-be-missed event for mineral industry professionals. The symposium, which took place from October 2 to 4, 2024 in Dijon, was an opportunity to meet our customers and prospects, and discuss our know-how and innovations with them. Above all, we celebrated the company's 100th anniversary. With a 36 m² exhibition spacewe were able to install our new stand in wood, custom-made by a local craftsman (ECB). This location enabled us to showcase some of the statues specially designed for this historic anniversary. During the trade show, we reserved a few surprises for our invited customers: the presence of a magician and a photographer. Celebrating Giron's 100th anniversary during the SIM congress-exhibition gave us the opportunity to share convivial moments with our customers and contribute to enhance the company's image.

Launch of a new ERP

In 2024, Giron will experience digital revolution with the ERP launch. This IT tool enables the company to manage its activities in France, in particular its control and production system. The launch of this tool has gone smoothly, and the final details of the transition are being finalized. Giron continues to expand, evolve and grow at the service of its customers.

Second honey harvest

As part of its CSR policyGiron intends to pursue its commitment to the protecting bees and the environment in 2023. That's why, last September, the company organized its second honey harvest in collaboration with A Place to Bee. This year's event, some twenty employees participated in this operation. During the harvest, discussions took place with the beekeeper, who came on site so that participants could discover the secrets of the trade. Once harvested, the honey will be put into jars, then distributed in our employees' Christmas parcels.

New partnership with Stade Rochelais

In 2024, Giron becomes sponsor of Stade Rochelais. This new partnership will enable the company to invite selected customers to share a convivial moment in the spirit of values of sport and rugby.

New "EFC label" award

With this special anniversary, Giron has just been admitted to the closed circle of the "Giron family".Centenary Family Businesses". This label is reserved exclusively for companies that can prove that they have been passed down through the family over a hundred years. Giron is pleased and proud to be able to share this new status with its employees, customers and partners.
