Choosing your hook

Presentation

Yarn hooks

At first glance, hooking directly onto wires may seem less expensive for 5 to 8 mm wires, but if you consider :
- The deterioration of profiles or tension shields after a few changes of cloth, due to the anchoring of the wires.
- As a result, possible tension faults on the cloths, shortening their lifespan
- Difficulties for your maintenance department in mounting and dismantling the screens, the most important point being the downtime of your installations.

In the final analysis, this is often a false economy, costing much more than the gain made at the time of purchase.

Sheet metal hooks

Sheet metal hooks are widely used. There are many different types, depending on the screen, wire diameter, type of tension, etc.

Hook direction

As some fabrics have a working direction, it is essential to specify the orientation of the hooks using the indices H or B :

  • H: for hooks facing upwards under lateral tension
  • B: for hooks facing downwards in longitudinal or lateral tension
  • HB: for inverted hooks in longitudinal tension
